Menu Ideas

I've been looking at different ideas for our menus. I don't think we need to print 120 menus for all our guests! If we do, I want to use seed paper so it can be recycled to create beautiful flowers after the event. I'm fascinated by seed paper and am looking forward to incorporating it somehow in our wedding - likely for the church programs - like these I found on Etsy

For the menus, I'm leaning towards this book idea that I saw on Style Me Pretty

I've looked into how to create this myself and found these wikihow instructions. I've no idea how it's going to go! I've purchased some spray adhesive and an x-acto knife so we'll give it a whirl this weekend! The idea is to use second hand copies of our favorite books (my favorite being Pride and Prejudice, but also I love The Yes Man so we'll have a lot of different genres represented!) that we collect over the coming months from charity stores. Paul definitely feels sad about "ruining" books so we'll create one book and see how we get on from there.

For the inside, I like what they've done above with the lavender - it's one of the smells Paul loves so I must find out when it's in season. I'm thinking we can use little burlap bags to hold them and attach them with glue dots.

If this idea doesn't work out, I'll look at doing something possibly featuring some picture frames that I collect from charity shops.
